I'm holding a 280T here in my hands. Unlike the 500FTZ, there is no
direct plug in for the synch cord (which would be a 4p due to age).
You would have to use that expensive plastic with it.  It is, however,
a pretty versatile flash.  The new AF360FGZ is even more versatile
except for analog TTL (use with older bodies), in that it has P-TTL,
TTL, Automatic, and Manual modes and the manual mode is power
adjustable down to 1/32 power.
