Fred,
Christian's post should have clarified things a bit.
The flash has to be nearly on top of the lens front in order to illuminate evenly 
marco subjects.

I have to work seriously on the bracket issue and possibly revert to a smaller flash. 
The 280 apperars to be still a little big but it should already have a plug for the 
F5P ext. cable which would make me save about 30 USD of worthless plastic. I liked the 
220T but it has no autoflash capabilities so I could use it only with the Z-1p.
