I have been shooting Pentax since 1974 (you young whipper snapper).  I
remember when it was respectably eclectic, even if it wasn't the best.
 It went downhill after the LX, at least in terms of reputation.  With
the film bodies, the lenses were the real driving force and the bodies
didn't need all the perks.   With digital, the bodies started to be a
liability relative to the other bodies since there was a real effect
on IQ.  I have a sense that with the K5 we may have a body we like as
much as the lenses.

Of course I have a K7.  But I've been behind the curve so long I'm
just glad to now know the folks who are close enough to touch it.
