I just got my DA* 16-50 back from repair, but I didn't have to pay for it: my email to Ned Bunnell, in which I expressed my extreme disappointment that my lens would go bad while sitting on a shelf for four months, apparently convinced C.R.I.S. to see my point of view. I don't like having to be a squeaky wheel to get problems solved, but I think in this case it was worth it. Let's hope the repair sticks this time.
