'62 to '65 approximately. I don't know the dates for sure, but She Loves You
was the big hit at the time - the first pop song I remember, so that's '63.
We used to sing it on the gari (sp? = school bus) going to school in Changi,
my first school. I remember walking with my brother through the riots in
Siglap which took place in '64 - I'd have just turned 7 - and I remember
Churchill's funeral taking place a few days after we arrived back in
England, '65.
