Most point and shoots don't have focus rings, or an easy method of
manual focus. Look how well that works out. We have so much to look
forward to.

Here's a question for the peanut gallery: How long before someone
makes a lens that *doesn't* have a focusing ring? For casual shooters
who never take the camera off auto focus. Given the continuing drive
to shave costs wherever possible, I'll bet someone does it. My money
is on Canon for DSLR's and Panasonic for EVIL cameras. Place your
bets!
