The only complaint I had with the K10D is my with it AF500FTZ didn't work with it.

The auto-focus was adequate for my needs and shooting style.

I leave it on AF-C and use the back auto-focus button; don't auto-focus with the shutter button. Pretty much use it that way to pre-focus where I want it and re-compose without having to worry it's going to jump to something else.

It did take a little while to train myself ... actually, I'm still learning, but I'm getting better at it.

If I really needed the kind of auto-focus a Nikon D700 gives, I'd switch to Nikon.

My memories of the K10D are a bit foggy. I don't remember it in
detail, but apparently it was at least okay. I do recall that I found
it to be an upgrade from the *istD. I do believe that I used manual
focus far more often than I now do with the K7. It's all about
adapting to the equipment you're using.

Can you feel the love?

It's not too bad if you have time to practice. My K10D did fine at the MC
race because I has time to prefocus and work out my own timing.
