Hi Bob,
I've always used Rodenstock enlarging lenses. Best lens I ever owned (till
now) was an 80/4 Apo-Rodagon--sweet thing. I used it for everything from
35mm to 2 1/4 square. In recent years I've used a 50mm f/2.8 Rodenstock
Apo-Rodagon-N. My 4x5 lens, when I had one, was a 150mm Schneider (also an
excellent lens), but that's only because I got a really good deal on one
(I'm not a 4x5 guy).

Now I have a Carl Zeiss S-Orthoplanar. There were only 500 of these made,
and when it was last available new in the Zeiss catalog it retailed for
$3,000. Spectacular little lens. It's a 60mm f/4, BTW.

I prefer Rodenstock view camera lenses, too. I really like the Apo-Sironar-S
line. I do have a bit of "brand loyalty" to Rodenstock--I really think it's
a cut above.
