G'day all Thanks for all the feedback on this shot, particularly on alternative positioning of the wave and surfer suggested by Ken and Bruce. I hadn't really considered alternative compositions but I can see their potential - something to keep in mind next time I'm on the coast. The focus of the shot was intended to be the surfer with the wave just providing some secondary interest.
Jack's second comment adds a bit of ambiguity to the shot that I hadn't realised. The surfer is actually heading out, not in, and the small wave is inbound. It's interesting how interpretations can vary. (As an aside, this kind of feedback is one of the reasons that this list is so valuable).
