yuck... my dad had his position pulled out from under him that way -
they introduced a rule pretty much over night that effective
immediately all operative departments had to cover 40% of their costs
- his was the only foundation research department in the company and
he believes it happened because he took away the CEO's cigarette and
stubbed it out while sitting next to him on the podium at a non
smoking board meeting... that is where I got /my/ /humble/, Peter ]=)
