I did the same for my step-son's partner, recommended a K-x for their first trip to Japan together. I lent them my DA50-200 to supplement the 18-55 kit lens, and she says she loved using it. Haven't seen the photos yet, unfortunately.
Has anyone yet regretted recommending or buying a K-x? She's going to be taking a photography course at high school in the fall semester, and decided her P&S wouldn't do. Completely unbiased, I of course suggested the K-x. :) Here's hoping that she sees the wisdom of that choice when she's finally got her money from her summer job in a couple of months' time. -bmw -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
