I'm at not quite 24,000 shutter activations with a K20D. No problems after a couple of plane flights, many train trips, and a diversity of being outside. SDM motors having stucktion problems I can see; it's effectively new technology to Pentax and that's just the sort of gotcha you get when deploying something really new.
