I've shot more than 10,000 jpegs with the K20D for virtual tours. (It will continue in that role.) I turned sharpness and contrast up a notch from the default before I started doing that work, mainly in deference to criticism I had read. Didn't bother with any testing, but the results have been excellent.

I thought the rendering on Bill's dog pic was superb, BTW.

That picture of my dog you just commented on was taken from an out of camera jpeg (shot at default settings). About the only thing I did was tweak the levels a bit and a little USM when I downsized the file for the web. I don't think I've ever shot a raw file on my K20 for comparative purposes, but I was quite happy witht this one off my K-7.
