No. I haven't tried that lens, but I've been very pleased with the two
DA* zooms. I shot a race car with the DA*50-135, using continuous
autofocus and was very pleased. I also noticed that the DA* 16-50
could autofocus at dusk on cruising cars whereas the FA 35/2 and FA
50/1.4 could not.

Apparently you haven't tried the DA*55/1.4
If it was any slower it wouldn't classify as an AF lens.
