Yes, you can control the side-to-side light balance with up to 5 different ratios. But I'm still finding that I can't control the light output as much as required for some very close shots. I'm planning to get some neutral density gels and cut them to fit over one or both sides of the flash. You might be able to stack a couple of ND gels on your 080 to control the balance.
