GPICsync http://code.google.com/p/gpicsync/ and any external GPS
device (for instance a Nokia phone with sportstracker) will do the GPS
tagging nicely. That's what I use. If you use gpicsync before
importing the RAW files in lightroom, lightroom displays the geodata
in it's userinterface including a link to google earth

I use Lightroom to add tags to picture. I need to check if it writes
the metadata in the XMP files.

Or use the K20D file(re)name option.
