Just before finals week, my last year of college, I bought the roller
64 chassis from a friend. I spent the summer, between looking for
work, restoring the body and moving the driveline from my '68 (the
light blue one) over to the '64. When Donald showed up for the 25th
birthday of the sprite party in Santa Cruz, I was going to get a shot
of him and my car, and someone told me that I should get in the
picture too.
He passed away shortly thereafter, the same year as Enzo Ferrari and
Robert Heinlein.
