There's an interesting site that covers (almost) everything to do with
the Photo CD format.  It includes a patch for the PCDLIB32.DLL file that
allegedly causes a 'lost highlights' problem when using Photoshop and
some other image editors to load the Photo CD format.

It seems that all editors and viewers are not created equal when loading
PCD files.
