Joe, I re-examined some brick wall shots I made in September 2007
using the DA*16-50 on my K10D, and IMO my copy is acceptably sharp at
f2.8 in the corners at all focal lengths when viewed on my 24" iMac
screen. If I pixel-peep, it is evident at 100% image size that the
corners are weak at 16mm, and improved but still a little weak at 28mm
and 50mm. Results at f5.6 are better at all focal lengths but the
corner sharpness is still highest at 28mm and 50mm.
I see the opposite of what you are seeing.
