My ears have become the eyes in the back of my head. And I'm wearing out the cartilage in my neck swiveling my eyes around. And I try to keep a "swim buddy" nearby so we can watch each others' backs. At tracks that use radios, I take my scanner so I can listen in to the control net while I'm not the station communicator.
