On 18/1/09, Paul Stenquist, discombobulated, unleashed:

>Great work, Cotty! I love the way you were able to track that bird,
>and you stuck with him when he flew behind the rock and caught him at
>the other end. The underwater stuff is great as well. Did you submerge
>the camera on a rig of some kind? The shots with the tide coming in
>against the lens are fabulous, so too the inlet shot and the plunge
>into the water. The edit is outstanding, particularly the sequence
>with the rock and roll song. You nailed it. Hollywood beckons!
>Seriously. I've worked with some Hollywood DPs, who couldn't have done
>that. Great work. I'm keeping it.

>BTW, my Mac began playing it as soon as I clicked on the link and
>never hesitated for download.

That's very kind Paul. I'm shooting at a high-end car dealer tomorrow,
putting together a 3 minute infomercial for their website - I'll forward
a URL when it's up in a couple of weeks.

The underwater stuff is on a lipstick mini cam rigged onto a handheld
mini-jib. It works fine for news and features and a cost-effective way
of getting shots of things in tight places or underwater. There's loads
more of that sort of thing on my showreel (linked from the Video page).

I could have done much more if I had my waders with me....

Thanks again.
