Actually that's one of their strong points - almost any system you currently own, you'll be able to add a micro4/3 camera to your bag. The 2x conversion is a drawback, however.

I'm still wondering about the viewfinder - call me spoiled. Will try one of them in the first chance. So far my intentions include digital Pentaxes, since I like the available options and have some PK gear. But those cameras are interesting indeed. Wonder if I'll be able to resist some Leica-styled small digital, compatible with almost any brand of lens available...

I'm currently using the Panasonic DMW-MA1 adapter (FourThirds to micro43) for FourThirds SLR lenses and stacking Pentax K, Nikon F, Pentax M42 and Olympus OM adapters to use the older manual lenses I have kicking about. I expect to obtain a Leica M-bayonet direct adapter soon and then I'll pick up the Nokton 40mm f/1.4 and Color Heliar 75mm f/2.5 lenses.

Godfrey, is it correct that due to the very short flange distance (I think minimal there is all together) any lens from any camera can be mounted on micro43 camera, such as Panasonic G1?

Just about. One of the websites showed a prototype mount adapter with Pentax 110 lenses fitted.

The mount register is about 20mm. For comparison, a Leica M is 28.5 and a Pentax K is 45.
