The man known only as Sy. It was a beautiful summer evening that we went to the Empress Ale House for a pint or two. The patio was pretty full, but this gentleman was sitting at a table on his own. We befriended him and had a nice chat. He was a funny character, a former biology teacher who was visiting Edmonton after moving away. He told some stories of his youth, which we appreciated.
