I was expecting a response like this one...just some clarification:

Note that there is a difference between the 'Encierro' and the 'Corrida'.
The first one is just to conduct, at 8am, the bulls from one place to the
Plaza, where the Corrida, the actual bullfighting, will take place in the
afternoon. This takes normally from 2 to 5 (intense) minutes.
During the Encierro, since there is a lot of people, narrow and slippery
streets, protective walls...there may be some injuries to the bulls, mainly
when they fall down or when they face someone and then others beat them in
order to attract their attention. But I really don't think that anybody
complained if all finished at this point.
After all, I have seen horses heavily injured and even dead during horse races
(pure human entertainment) and I haven't heard any big complaints. Bear in mind
that the same bulls participate in the bullfight a few hours later so they
can't be that injured.

The problem here is that those bulls will be killed in the afternoon by the
bullfighter, and not by accident, but because it is the objective of the whole
thing...well...they say that there is 'art' in the way of doing it.

If I could vote in order to forbid the bullfighting, I wouldn't hesitate.
I am not that sure about the Encierro.

(note that encierros are made only during a week in some places, being the most
famous Pamplona during San Fermin celebrations)

Regards,
Jaume

I don't. The world would be a better place if that particular bit of moronity
was abolished.
Of course I am biased by the fact that I truly believe that bull baiting is
only done by stupid
emasculated men vainly trying to prove that they still have balls.
