Erected by Chinese laborers..they say. This shot is nicely backed up by the tree line. I've done the north to south up-and-over Lassen drive and understand exactly what you faced at the top. It is a series of white knuckle drop off curves without guard rails. Kinda' hairy.
Jack =========== Nice to know, Jack. From the top, I could look down and I couldn't SEE any guard rails. Just the first curve I could see looked hairy. So I wasn't positive if there were any guard rails or not, but incredibly it looked like there weren't. (I hadn't seen any going up the north side, but it was fairly okay that way.) Obviously, if I want to go up, I should go south-north. Actually, to see the lava beds, I could go up south-north and I don't need to go to all the way to the peak. Next time. Maybe... I feel better, thanks. :-) Marnie aka Doe --------------------------------------------- Warning: I am now filtering my email, so you may be censored. **************Start the year off right.
