Well, i did some snooping on the big three's websites today. Very
disappointing. Seems most of the lenses i would like, are special
order now. The one 31 and one 43 ltd at Henrys are gone. I noticed
several Sigma and Tamron lenses in the 17-50 and 28-75 F2.8 range are
all special order. Same for the Sigma 31, 28,24 etc.
Vistek's FA 50 1.4's are special order, and just about all of Camera
Canada Pentax lenses are special order.

I did find at Vistek, listed as new, a Tamron af 17-50 F2.8 Di II LD
IF for $499. No product info but i looked at the listing for the Sony
mount.
It sounds like a good lens and if it performs like my Tamron 90
Macro(Nikon) i'd be happy. I would prefer to get a Pentax lens in this
range, but if i can a good quality Tamron for 1/2 the price, WTF.:-)

Any comments on these Tamrons.??

I quess all of the grumbling about lack of availability is true.:-)
