Here's a primer for those of you from the sunnier climes, who may not
be familiar with the nuts and bolts of the group activity known as
"tobogganing".

First, everyone piles on the sleds:

Make sure everyone's on, make sure all the various sleds in the
"train" are together:

Down the hill for about 10 seconds of ecstacy (and possible pain - if
there's a difference):

Up the hill to start all over again (and again, and again):

I think the only shot I'm missing to make this a really good essay is
the inevitable pile-up of bodies at the bottom of the hill. I've got
a few possibilities from what I shot, but I'd have to do considerable
work to make them viewable, and the ones I did work on just didn't
make the cut. We'll just have to be happy with these ones for now.
;-)

As always, my ongoing frustration with shots looking much better (more
dark detail) in PS on my laptop than I see on my monitor at work.
Still, hopefully you get the gist of all this.

It occurs to me that doing this on film would have been a costly and
onerous endeavour (shot upwards of 80 or 100 shots that day all told,
between sledding and "winter wonderland" stuff).

Comments always welcome. Thanks in advance.

cheers,
frank
