Hi, John, Make that desire come true, as soon as possible. You won't regret it. (While you bitterly will, in case something happens to them before you get there...:) ) If your father is still around, bring paper and pen and make notes. If he's no longer around, track down any- and everyone available who may be able to help out in bringing those photos alive. It is a fascinating journey to make, if you will. And if you get hold of old negatives, not seldom "large medium format" and much more "densed" with information than regular 35mm film, it's amazing what you can bring out of them. (I recently bought an Epson V700 scanner which will scan any negative up to A4 size). Hell, even small Instamatic negs keep astonishing me by what can be retrieved by some digital tweaking, in case they need some.
