Not sure why I'd want a Voigtländer 40/2 A-series manual focus lens  
($400 @ CameraQuest.com) over an FA43/1.9 Limited at about the same  
price. ($370 @ B&H after rebate). It does look like a nice lens,  
nicer to handle than the DA40. I can see some justification for a  
58mm f/1.4, but it's marginal. At least it's a different focal length  
than usual, and it's a stop and some faster than the DA70.

How they perform is a question mark.

The Voigtlander 180/4 APO-Lanthar Close Focus at $355 is a more  
interesting lens to me. A nice prime in a focal length that is  
different from what most others are providing.
