The composition puts the main pedal and 'catepillar' in focus and the distant pedal out. I like it that way and think putting the distant pedal into sharp focus would be a distraction to the main subject. I wouldn't put the far petal in focus, but today I might put more AROUND the caterpillar in focus, the DOF actually fades out rather rapidly around it.
