Well, the B-25 only had 28 cylinders, while the Lancaster had 48. But it always seemed that the radials sort of rumbled while the v-12's sort of snarled. The one that always sent shivers up my spine was the Beech 18 (C-45) throttled back with the 9 cyl P&W R-985 engines slightly out of sync.
