The Canadian based Lancaster made an appearance in Regina many years ago. A friend and I decided we wanted to get some pictures of it landing so we waited for the door to the secure area to open and snuck through it. Of course the RCMP came and hauled our sorry asses away from the side of the runway, but they were very nice and ushered us up to the roof area of the control tower and allowed us to set up and work there. Nice plane, but I was surprised by how small it was.
