That was the Avrocar. The Arrow (CF-105) was a delta wing interceptor similar to Convair's F-102 Delta Dagger and F-106 Delta Dart (aka F-102B) aircraft for the USAF. The F-102, XF-103, CF-105, XF-108 were developed at the same time, and the three aircraft seem to have been part of a single joint development program. Avro basically got screwed.
