I was going to say the same thing as peter, but as noted some of the DA's cover the full 35mm frame.
I think the best way to classify them is in regards to the variations in the lens mount. FA: KAF2 lens mount. FAJ: KAF mount (crippled), minus aperture simulator & aperture ring. DA: KAF2 mount, minus aperture simulator & aperture ring. DFA: KAF2 mount, minus aperture simulator (?). See doesn't that make it clearer.
