I agree with you the K1D won't be a competitor to the D3 or 1D series and it is true they can't compete in that market but the need for a complete product range has never been more pressing. The competition for the no 3 spot behind C & N has never been hotter Sony and Panasonic are not going to lay idle. They need to show drive, innovation and launch the products that make a splash ie are desirable, get talked about and sell.
