It's probably a more useful mode for most people than the traditional "stop down the lens temporarily" DoF preview on SLRs. I have the digital preview set up to show highlight saturation and display a histogram, it becomes a useful tool for both exposure and focus evaluation this way.
I switch between digital preview and optical preview now and then. Optical preview is quicker to use and in some situations I have the exposure and lighting all set up, just want to quick check my focus zone. Godfrey On Sep 15, 2007, at 12:43 AM, P. J.
