I haven't used the Wolverine Brand storage units (see B&H), but there's some 
non-photo-display units, having an LCD display for status, space, etc.

They cost far less than the 270 CA Hyperdrive and have more than 40GB 
storage.  They lack the flexibility of putting in your own hard drive, of 
course, but relatively inexpensive if you ask me
