Hi Graywolf,

Maybe the appropriate definition is "more versatile" rather than "better". I
think of digital as being far more versatile than film. More versatile means
there are more chances it can better suit someone's needs (about shooting
and editing pictures). That's my case for sure. For a number of reasons,
without digital I would not have taken say 90% of the pictures I took over
the last three years. For a number of reasons, many of those pictures could
not turn out as good as they are (from the technical point of view), if
taken on film. That works a lot for me.

So you can take as good examples of your question say 90% of the pictures
you can see there:

Which of course are just a few of the pictures I took since I've switched to
digital in late 2003.

On the other hand, I'm no longer interested on the "film vs. digital"
debate, as for sure digital doesn't need my support to win the market
challenge. In any case, I have truly nothing against film and against all
those shooting film. IMO they can well continue enjoying shooting film
forever, if that suits their needs. Why not? Has motorboating killed
sailing? Almost, but not actually. Have cars killed horses? Almost, but not
actually. Has color film killed B&W film? Almost, but not actually. One
could go ahead forever with such comparisons...
