The 7Mill is long and tall enough to stay put on your lower back, but
would need a waist belt to keep it from flopping about on a bicycle.
That would be very easy to do: a pair of carabiners in the outside
accessory pouch loops make an excellent anchor point for a waist belt
with a quick release buckle. (My Timbuk2 Commute XL has the anchors
for such a belt built in and comes with a belt like that: it works
beautifully and it what I use for the bicycle when I need my computer
and don't want to use the car. I've got a few carabiners in a box
here for such occasional use with other gear.)

The bag comes with two velcro compartment cover flaps that I position
for this use. I took them out when I photographed the compartments so
as to make the configuration I chose more visible. There are also two
more compartment dividers with flexible ears that I'm not using yet,
and of course I have a big box full of miscellaneously shaped other
dividers from a bunch of other bags that can be used as needed.
