I guess I didnt make myself clear, this shot was taken specifically to show the bad bokeh.
Another one taken with no highlights in the backround or much smaller stops you wont see this bad bokeh which kinda defeats the purpose of the test photo. this photo was not taken for any other reason. I generally never shoot wide open, especially in daylight lighting. The other thing I noted in a later post was I was going to try to find the point where the bokeh is always acceptable by stopping down. regardless, I dont like this bokeh effect, but if its gone by a reasonable stop say F4 or F5.6 I can live with it I guess.. one thing I forgot to note about this lens, it is INCREDIBLY COMPACT for a 85mm f2.0 lens, I never would have even thought this was possible. It seems about roughly the same size as a fast 50mm. jco -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Walter Hamler Sent: Friday, April 20, 2007 4:18 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Worst Bokeh ever in a non-mirror Pentax Lens? I would be interested in seeing what it looks like with a background that is pretty low key with minimal highlights. Also, I have never been a big fan of shooting longer lenses WO when the subject is multi dimensional. Too much "subject" gets too blury and I tend to lose interest quickly.
