NOPE, its not about gear at all for me, BUT you HAVE to have the better than average gear to "get" what it **IS** all about which is beautiful music and imagery. NEEDING something to get something you really want is not wanting the need. The high end reproduction gear is only a means to an end. I dont listed to the stereo or watch HDTV, I listen to great music and watch beautiful films and shows. jco
