The K10 performs well enough for me, I'm not looking for an incremental improvement. I'd be interested in a 15mp body, but not at the expense of losing shake reduction, which I find very useful, or more noise than the K10 (which I find very good). Your point on the subject is well taken though. Were I in the market for a backup body, then I'd have the same thoughts as you.
