Godfrey, to support your opinion, I've just opened these two pages: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/pentaxk10d/page15.asp http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/pentaxk100d/page15.asp At ISO 200 it is reported that K10D has 7.3 usable dynamic range while K100D has 7.9 EV.
