Don't confuse an open specification with application support: - The former says that the specification is available for use by all. - The latter says that an application vendor has implemented the software necessary to allow use of the former. Every RAW converter and picture sorter I use is fully compatible with DNG format. I run Mac OS X. I use: Adobe Camera Raw (v2.4 or later, Mac OS X or Windows) Adobe Lightroom b4.1 (Mac OS X or Windows) Vuescan (Mac OS X, Windows, or Linux) iView Media Pro 3 (Mac OS X or Windows) I have tested but not purchased: Iridient RAW Developer (Mac OS X) Silkypix (Mac OS X or Windows) - this is different from the latest version of Pentax LAB GraphicConverter (Mac OS X) So I'd give Vuescan or Silkypix, the real thing not the Pentax LAB, a try if you're on Windows. Personally, I'm not very fond of the UI but others like it. Godfrey -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
