I think the biggest place you'll see the difference in is in color
gamut. Especially in the darker, more saturated shades, seeing subtle
differences will be easier. Under most lighting conditions, you
probably won't notice any contrast differences.

I'm still using an old 21" CRT on my image-editing machine. Partially
because to my eyes the colors look better. I suppose it'll die
eventually, and I'll have to find a replacement. Here's to hoping I
can afford that iMac before then.
