I wear -1.5 diopter eyeglasses so for shooting when not using eyeglasses I have adjusted the viewfinder diopter on DS (nearly all the way to the right) and I find the image to be clear and crisp. On my MX viewfinder I have Pentax -2 M correction lens. I tried mounting the M correction lens on the DS and I find that it makes no difference for me if I adjust diopters using external correction lens or internal DS adjustment.
I routinely focus using only matte area, so lack of split image or microprisms is no big deal for me. I just find that when neither the light nor the object is contrasty I can not "lock" on the focus with the DS. I suppose a bigger or more "grainy" screen would be helpful... But for now I will try to take Godfreys advice and try to practice more. :-) -- Best regards, Pawel Bruce Dayton wrote: > Have you adjusted the viewfinder diopter?
