That's a huge advantage. I have had trouble getting nice color prints  
from any of the local labs for quite some time, and I live in an area  
with numerous pro labs. I had resorted to scanning all my color and  
printing my own BW in the darkroom long before I went digital. To  
that end, digital just made things easier.
