Today, I shot over 5GB of RAW photos.  When I'm at the track, 5-8GB a
day of RAWs is about par for the course.  Unless K10D RAW files are
about the same size as *ist D RAW files, that'll be going up soon. :-)

Whopping large hard drives and recordable DVDs.  Storing them is a lot
smaller problem than getting them indexed well enough to find the one
shot you want from a couple of years ago.

I usually carry 4-5 GB of CF cards for the *ist D and I expect to do the
same for the K10D.  When those fill, I start pulling images into an
"image tank" so I can reuse the CF media the same day.  When I get away
from the event for the day, the RAWs all get moved onto my primary
computer and saved to recordable DVDs, and the image tank and flash
media get reformatted/cleared.
