Hi, I've been using a K18/3.5 for some time now on the istDS. I like it quite a bit, although there are a few K lenses that are a bit sharper. But absolute sharpness isn't everything, at least for me. Tonal rendition, ease of use, size, are all considerations. Here's a shot I recently posted using that lens:
