Jan, Godfrey, Shel, thanks for the kind words and invaluable advice. It's 
good to be back on the list again. I think I'll leave the spare battery and 
SD card until closer to the purchase time as is the concensus of opinion here.

I've just found what I think is a remote control F, I used it with my MZ-6 
before the camera expired, so maybe it will work with the K10D, I guess I'll 
wait and see.

I've been looking at the spec of the K10D and it's the heaviest Pentax I've 
seen, so maybe a good quality strap is more the order of the day. I can't 
wait to see one in the metal and perhaps try the FA 35/2 and FA 135/2.8.

Does anyone have an opinion on how the K 18mm f/3.5 performs on the DSLR's?
